On the premiere day of SAO, her and her boyfriend began the game together, she had been playing FPS games since she was young and later tried MMORPG’s and was showing him the ropes on how to play. He had very little experience but was insistent on obtaining a copy of SAO once it first came out because he had heard of it’s beautiful graphics and had planned on proposing to her in the game. Barely before the real “game” began, something on her nerve-gear glitched out for a brief moment and in the momentary hiatus, (she suspected a battery outage or power failure but she was never officially logged out, despite her suspicion of circumstances in what she now considers a ‘blackout’) and in the time of her pause, he was scouting for a majestic location when he was obliterated in the game. Now she is trapped in the SAO world seeking meaning to her lost one's death.
